Beyond the Facade
The self you show the world, the self beneath it, and a bridge between the two.
Duckture runs workshops using play and the methods of LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® where participants think with their hands and build tangible models to uncover and express their subconscious. Thoughts take a physical form that now has meaning that can be seen, questioned and actioned upon.
Use real bricks and unlock real insights. You've never done anything like this!
Four rules govern every Duckture room. They sound simple, build trust and transform your entire experience.
Every session opens with the duck challenge - and every room discovers the same thing: same bricks, same brief, completely different ducks. Your team already thinks differently. You've just never had it on the table before.
We're called Duckture. You didn't think the ducks were a coincidence.
Every one of these happened - with students, designers, researchers and working professionals.
The self you show the world, the self beneath it, and a bridge between the two.
Participants explore and develop their understanding of design and what they want from it.
When interviews, dashboards and slides stop surfacing the insight, teams build it instead - and the hidden patterns show up.
Who are you at work, really? A build-first look at strengths, defaults and blind spots.
Build the workplace where you'd thrive - then work out what it's telling you about your next move.
The year ahead in bricks instead of magazine clippings. Small group, big questions.
"The most eye opening experience. I don't know how I got here but the level of reflection and realisations were unparalleled. Hard to forget everything I've discovered about myself from here."
"Our quietest teammate explained the whole thing through her model. We'd never heard her talk that long."

Alignment, vision, discovery, retrospectives - if your team needs to move from scattered to aligned, we design a LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® session around your problem area. Not a workshop off the shelf.
The room runs on the core LSP process - challenge, build, share, reflect, rebuild - and it always ends the same way: a shared model, decisions written down and commitments with names on them.
Every engagement starts with a 30-minute discovery call. No one enters a room without one - it's where we work out whether a session is even the right tool.
Book a discovery call →Every session has one. We love them - they build the most revealing models.
The bricks are toys. The method isn't - LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® was developed at the LEGO Group with IMD Business School to fix exactly the meetings you're thinking of.
Senior teams are our favourite. The more practiced someone is at sounding right, the more the bricks reveal what they actually think.
A shared model of your answer, photos of it, decisions on paper and commitments with names on them. The artifact outlives the workshop - and the arguments.
I've spent 14+ years designing products and leading design teams - and the pattern I kept seeing was the same everywhere: smart people, stuck rooms, thinking no one could see.
Duckture is my answer to that. I'm a trained LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® facilitator, and my job in a session is not to have the answers. It's to build the conditions where your team finds theirs, organically.
Guide, not guru. The work speaks, not the ego.
